Last week I visited the Llanbedr airfield in Wales. If you are considering testing novel solutions such as long range BVLOS drones, Snowdonia Aerospace Centre is certainly on the list of prime locations in the UK. It is remote, and that’s what I like about it. It means that designing a safety risk mitigation plan is facilitated by intrinsic qualities of the site.
Snowdonia Aerospace Centre has facilities which make it a prime test location for unmanned aircraft as part of the broader Wales Unmanned Systems environment. It has all the attributes of a former RAF site, plus state-of-the-art facilities following significant investment.
