Deep subject matter expertise — built over a decade
We bring hands-on knowledge of UK and EU drone regulations, SORA approvals, and operational compliance accumulated over more than ten years. We stay at the forefront of regulatory developments and CAA guidance, so you benefit from advice that is current, reliable, and grounded in real application experience.
Cross-sector insight from multiple live SORA applications
Because we work across numerous SORA applications simultaneously — spanning different sectors, platform types, and operational environments — we see patterns that single-project teams cannot. We know what works, what regulators scrutinise, and where applications stall. That shared intelligence strengthens every engagement we deliver, giving you a faster and more predictable path to approval.
A background that spans commercial and defence
Our experience spans commercial drone operations and the defence and aerospace sector — where rigorous safety methodology, system integrity, and structured risk assessment are foundational, not optional. That cross-sector background shapes how we approach every SORA application and conformity assessment we deliver: bringing the discipline of defence-grade safety thinking to the commercial regulatory environment, without the overhead. It also means we are equally comfortable supporting a commercial operator building their first SORA application, a dual-use manufacturer navigating civil and military requirements simultaneously, or a defence programme seeking to operate in civil airspace.
Responsive, detail-oriented support that keeps your timeline moving
Regulatory delays have real commercial consequences. We prioritise fast turnaround, clear communication, and meticulous documentation — so your application progresses without unnecessary waiting. We treat your timeline as our own.
Strategic guidance and practical delivery — at whatever level you need
Whether you need high-level regulatory strategy or hands-on support with documentation, manual amendments, and compliance checks, we adapt to your requirements. We absorb the administrative and regulatory workload so your team can remain focused on operations.
Flexible engagement — tailored to your objectives and budget
No two organisations have the same constraints. We tailor our scope, deliverables, and pricing to match your objectives and resources — ensuring effective, proportionate support without unnecessary overhead.

Anne-Lise Scaillierez — Partner
Anne-Lise brings 25 years of experience across the technology, defence, and aerospace sectors, with deep expertise in autonomous systems, strategic development, and regulatory engagement.
She previously led the Strategy function of a major defence group, where she drove the advancement of autonomy, data, and cybersecurity capabilities. She has since focused on the drone sector — combining regulatory knowledge, industry leadership, and policy engagement to support operators and manufacturers navigating an increasingly complex environment.
Industry leadership
Anne-Lise serves as Director and volunteer CEO of ARPAS-UK, the UK trade association representing the commercial drone industry. In that role, she founded the Regulation Special Interest Group and leads the Technology Special Interest Group, covering dual-use technologies and their application across civil and defence markets.
She represents the industry at senior government level — including with the Department for Transport, the Civil Aviation Authority, and DSIT — and sits on the Future Flight Industry Group (FFIG), chaired by the Aviation Minister.
Standards and policy contribution
Anne-Lise contributes to British Standards Institution (BSI) standardisation work shaping the future of UK drone regulation:
-
