The Founder
Anne-Lise Scaillierez
Anne-Lise Scaillierez brings 25 years of cross-sector experience in Technology, Defence, and Aerospace to the UAS industry. She founded The Drone Office to bridge the gap between complex regulatory requirements and operational reality, helping operators, manufacturers, and asset managers navigate UK SORA with clarity and commercial purpose. She has been actively engaged in uncrewed innovation, contributing to four Innovate UK Future Flight Challenge programmes focused on the development of medical drone delivery operations.
Prior to founding The Drone Office, she held senior positions in a large international Defence and Aerospace group where she promoted the development of their drone and autonomy strategy across air, land, and maritime domains.
Anne-Lise is an active contributor to UK standards development. She served on the steering group for BSI Flex 1903 v2.0, Future Flight Systems Vocabulary, and is currently contributing to PAS 1907, the forthcoming UAS documentation templates designed for use with UK SORA at SAIL 1 to 4.
As a Director of ARPAS-UK, the trade association for the UK drone industry, Anne-Lise has been a dedicated observer of drone landscape for over a decade, providing expert briefings to industry stakeholders, policymakers, and regulators. In that capacity she sits on the Future Flight Industry Group, co-chaired by the Aviation Minister, where she represents the interests of the UK drone industry at the highest level of government engagement.
The Office Code
Our Guiding Principles.
01
Clarity over complexity
UAS regulation is dense and evolving. We translate the CAA’s SORA and European frameworks into practical, actionable safety cases that advance your operations, not stall them.
02
Competitiveness
Regulatory compliance is a commercial differentiator, not just a legal threshold. Operators who build robust safety cases and credible CAA relationships earn faster authorisations and the market access that wins contracts.
03
Hands in the work
We don't just describe problems; we own them with you. From drafting operations manuals to managing technical engagement with regulators, we stay in the room until the authorisation is delivered.
04
Absolute Independence
We are intentionally hardware and software agnostic. Because we don't sell drones, our advice remains objective, focused entirely on your long-term compliance and safety defensibility.
Built for complex operations. Delivered with expert precision.
